DCNW is democratic partnership focused on artist, audience and market development involving 30 dance organisations, venues and promoters, Higher Education Institutions and a 100+ strong network of Dance Artists based in the region.
DCNW membership is drawn from (and reflects) different parts of the dance ecology. An Executive Group which is representative of the membership meets quarterly and the Consortia is led by a Partnership Director.
Additionally, a number of Task Groups meet as and when necessary according to the purpose established by the Executive Group and the groups. Membership is co-opted from a wide range of people committed to the development of dance and the values and purpose of DCNW.
The ethos of DCNW is democratic and transparent – and work at each stage of the Dance Plan is shared across the sector to inform both collective and individual action.
